Hello Washington Eagles! My name is Stephanie Rossi and I am happy to welcome your child into my classroom. I am excited to get to know and help your child grow this school year! I will work hard to help create a memorable and fun year that is filled with lots of learning.
I was born and raised on the island of Oahu, Hawaii and lived there until I graduated from high school. Living there really was paradise! I received a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and my Multiple Subject teaching credential from San Diego State. I have been teaching for the past 14 years, 11 of those years here at Washington.
As you know, Washington is a STEAM Elementary school (one that blends together Reading with Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). You can expect your child to take part in many fun engineering and technology projects. These projects will challenge your child to think outside the box and be a creative and reflective learner. I love teaching at Washington Elementary and really love the urban community of Little Italy. Our downtown neighborhood allows us to participate in fun neighborhood field trips that allow us to extend our learning outside of the classroom.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family. Our 2 young children keep us EXTREMELY busy! I love going to the beach, kayaking, watching sunsets, reading, and scrapbooking.
I am looking forward to seeing your child soar and succeed this school year as a Washington Eagle!
