My name is Shoua Vang-Brown; the children refer to me as Mrs. Brown. I have been teaching for 18 years, grades K through 5th. I have been teaching at Washington Elementary since 2006. Besides my degree in teaching, I am also GATE certified. I attended San Diego Mesa College, University of San Diego, and earned my teaching credential from San Marcos State University. I live most of my life in San Diego since my family moved from Thailand when I was about 2 years old. Though I am from Thailand, I am Hmong. I have 3 wonderful children and a loving supportive husband.
